my mums name was shirley o'brien she was also known as memmott. She died on the 22nd of febuary 2005 she was age 54 when she passed away. She worked in st annes hospice until she got diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2001. She lived in heald green stockport she had 8 sisters 3 brothers 4 daughters 11 grandchildren and 2 son in laws and she also had a loving husband.
shirley was always happy to help others, she was a brilliant mother and nana and a loving daughter and sister also a fantastic wife. She always knew how to make others smile when they were down, she was fun to be around she never had a bad word to say about anyone. she was always running around at work. she enjoyed taking long walks to see family members, she was also out going and never afraid to try anything new.
shirley ment a lot to her family she was loved as a mother nana sister auntie daughter and wife.she is sadly missed by all we know she is in a better place free from pain there is not a day goes by when we do not think about her. she will always be in are hearts and thoughts and never forgot.

hi mum, sorry I've not been on here for a while, I never know what to write! I was just thinking about you today (as I always do!) when I realised that today it is your fifth year anniversary! although it feel like so much longer, I was saying to nicky and kim the other day that I dream about you all the time, and the funny thing is that I hear your voice as if your really ther, talking like we used to!...maybe you are and thats your way of connecting with me? I hope so! I have another addition to our family now...my little princess Miya!...you would adore her mum, I think you would be proud of me mum, she is such a handfull, she has special needs and she has a heart defect, which is caused by a condition called williams syndrome. She is so trying, but I wouldn't change her for the world, she reminds me of you so much...some days I look at her and see you staring back through her eyes!!! I still miss you so much mum and hope that you keep coming to me in my dreams..until we meet again ( which I know we will!)...you are always in my heart and thoughts..love you always mum...your loving daughter melanie xxx

hiya mum just wanted to say hope you have a good birthday and i love and miss you lots just wish you were here with me and my family .mum i just want to tell you that i have been in touch with bernard clarke and we are having a DNA test done to put closure on all the doubts about weather he is my dad i hope you are ok with this its just something i need to do for my own peace of mind .anyway all the kids and bernard send their love and kisses and wish you a happy birthday and we hope you are happy up there say hello to the rest of them for me and give them all my love and i think about you all the time and still expect you to walk in the door .lots of love hugs and kisses nicola p.s miss you more each and every day xxxxxxxxxxxx
hiya mum sorry its late but my laptop wouldnt let me on so im here now to wish you happy christmas and all the best for the new year. i still really miss you and wish you were here with us today . bernard and me have got a grandson now and 2 others on the way . all the kids say hello and miss you lots im at our mel tonight she had another baby girl in august she is a real handful so im here to help her out a bit you would love her if you were here to see her she is beautiful.hope you lot had a good xmas up there and im sure you will all have a good new year . im going now love you lots and miss you loads love nicky xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
hey auntie shirley . no ones wrote on here for a while so thought i would . love ya so much and miss you . have such nice memories of you like sleeping at urs with kim all 3 of us in your squashed girlie chats and then early mornings tut lol . but it was all so nice . you gave us some where to stay when we moved down here and thankful for that , just wish you was still here to see al your family growin and ever expandin with more kids lol . keep smiling down from heaven love you .. x x
